It’s been a big week in Colombia this week with the announcement of Latin America’s 50 Best Restaurants list, sponsored by S.Pellegrino and Acqua Panna.
The Maido restaurant, helmed by chef Mitsuharu Tsumura, took the first position for the first time ever, cemented Peru’s place at the top of the list for yet another year and catapulted a distinct brand of Nikkei cuisine onto the world stage.
Aside from the overall winner on the night, the list was full of delicious surprises and below, in a series of infographics created by Gluttonomy, you can take a look at Latin America’s 50 Best Restaurants in numbers.
Mexico ranked in top with 13 entries on the list, followed by Peru with 10, however, Peru has now held the top spot on the list for five years, every winner of the list has come from Lima.
