Celebrity chef José Andrés has played a big part in making Spanish cuisine popular in America. Now, the chef is taking things further and launching his own food line which hits stores this summer.
His eponymous line will feature paella kits, olive oils, sherry vinegars, seafood tapas, potato chips, olives, capers, breads and vegetable dishes, according to the company's new website.
The products will all come from small producers in Spain hand-picked by José Andrés, according to a press release published on Eater. ''My friends there are some of the finest artisans who share in this love, and I can't wait for you to try their creations,'' the chef stated in the release.
The food line will be availabe at select stores this summer and available for purchase on the company website in June.
José Andrés is the chef at various restaurants including minibar in Washington, D.C., The Bazaar in Los Angeles, and Mi Casa by José Andrés at the Dorado Beach Ritz Carlton in Puerto Rico.
He's a James Beard Award winner and teaches a food course at George Washington University. Most recently, he became an ambassador for Haitian cuisine as you'll see in the video below.
