Not all of us are born with a green thumb, nor do we have the luxury of having the space for our own vegetable garden. Well, here’s a Kickstarter project to get behind that can solve all those problems, but also let you save money in the longer term while letting you get your five-a-day: the OGarden Smart.
This indoor gardening system currently funding on Kickstarter is revolutionising the smart garden market with its compact design that allows you to grow up to 90 fruits and vegetables simultaneously. That’s a big leap compared to most other smart home gardens that are usually limited to growing just a handful of herbs.
Apart from making eating more fresh vegetables and fruits cheaper and realistic, the great thing about this next generation smart indoor garden is that it is fully automatic: a water pump sends water to the entire garden on its own, from the seed pods to the plants, the tank just asks for a weekly refill but also comes with a low water level alert. The light for the OGarden Smart comes from low-consumption LEDs that simulate sunlight in just the right quantity, and switches on and off automatically to save energy.
