Mugaritz is the world's third best restaurant and it didn't land that coveted spot overnight. Since its opening in 1998, chef Andoni Luis Aduriz worked hard to turn his restaurant into an international sensation, earning two Michelin stars along the way.
To honor the evolution of Mugaritz, Aduriz recently assembled a series of dishes that were presented at San Sebastian's Gastronomika summit. Each dish highlights a culinary moment in time and the folks at the Spanish blog Gastroeconomy have done a fine job of rounding up the pictures of the meal.
Below you'll find a few of the images that tell the story of Mugaritz. For explanations of the dishes and to see more pictures, check out their website.
