Vegetable theft, car chases, chefs under arrest...it's all part of the outrageous trailer for the new vegan menu at Next in Chicago.
When FDL caught up with chef Grant Achatz at the The World's 50 Best Restaurants Awards sponsored by S.Pellegrino and Acqua Panna in London last week, he told us he wanted the video to be fun. To that we say: mission accomplished!
The good-humored video was produced by Christian Seel just like the previous trailers for The Hunt and Kyoto menus at Next. Those videos were dark and mysterious - even bloody - so we never expected a bright and cheery trailer that seems more like a music video.
Next is the brainchild of chef Achatz and business partner Nick Kokonas, who also run the Michelin-starred Alinea and The Aviary restaurant and cocktail bar. Alinea ranks 15th on The World's 50 Best Restaurants list.
