Back in January, the team at Next in Chicago revealed a video teaser of their new menu called The Hunt. Inspired by local game and seasonal ingredients, we've been anxious to see what chef Grant Achatz's team has been cooking. Now, we've got some fantastic food porn to share with you all.
These wonderful pictures are courtesy of Flickr user Gourmandj, who captured the brillance of dishes like Charcu-tree (pictured below). This charcuterie course is cleverly served on a wooden log and contains rabbit paté, elk jerky, boar salami and blood sausage.
The menu also features raw bison which the diners cook over a large hot stone. Other dishes include beautifully plated squab and a three-month aged carrot, both of which look absolutely sumptuous (pictured below).
Judging from these pictures, we can tell the team at Next is incredibly talented. We wonder if the restaurant will make it onto the World 50 Best Restaurant's, just like Achatz's flagship restaurant Alinea, which ranks seventh on the list sponsored by S.Pellegrino and Acqua Panna.
Next's upcoming menu will be vegan, paying homage to the bounty of produce available in spring and summer. It will run from May to August.

STAY TUNED: Where will Grant Achatz rank in the 2013 World 50 Best Restaurants awards? Find out when you watch the ceremony live on FDL on April 29th.
