The 2012 Food and Travel award winners have been announced with a number of restaurants, chefs, bars and writers all hailed for their contribution to the industry.
Organized by the Food and Travel Magazine, 2012 is the first year the awards have been held with an aim of highlighting some of the best performers of the food and travel industry throughout the UK.
Best Chef went to Tom Kerridge of the two Michelin starred Hand and Flowers in Marlow. Other categories included best London Restaurants, Best Non-London based restaurant and best new comer with both Heston Blumenthal's Dinner and Jason Atherton's Pollen St Social making the shortlist.
Blumenthal's The Fat Duck in Bray picked up the top spot for best Non-London restaurant, just a day after it was listed as the best UK restaurant in the 2013 Good Food Guide.
Unusual Hotels Europe a book by Steve Dobson took number one place in the Travel Book awards and London's Pizarro restaurant owned by the Spanish chef Jose Pizarro picked up the best new comer award and best restaurant in London going went to The Ledbury.
