Find a Farmer's Market Near You

Farmstand is a new phone application that aims to make it easier for people who want to eat fresh food that's locally sourced to locate their nearest farmer's market using GPS.

It works in the US, UK, New Zealand, Canada and Australia and all the user has to do is open the app to be shown exactly what fresh produce is on offer to them at any given time.

On top of locating markets the idea is that vendors and other community members can highlight specific produce on offer at the market making it easier to for people to find the freshest ingredients.

It's an interesting idea that wants to simplify the idea of being able to shop at fresh farmers markets as a viable alternative to supermarkets.
