Take the finest dining experience in all of New York (arguably), combine it with the two-Michelin-starred artistry of LA’s Vespertine, swirl it around each other during a pandemic, and you get one of the all-time best at-home experiences in restaurant history.
Since the pandemic began, chef Jordan Kahn of Vespertine has been bringing voracious diners around the world with his unique take-out experiences. Lovers of Kahn’s food have devoured his creations that have been themed on the Yucatan, Cuba, Japan, Sicily, and Oaxaca. Additionally, Kahn has teamed up with other restaurant luminaries like Thomas Keller in a French Laundry collaboration and Grant Achatz for an Alinea crossover.
For his latest concoction, Kahn taps into the three-Michelin-starred titan Eleven Madison Park, with executive chef Daniel Humm and culinary director Michael Pyers. Angelenos will never feel luckier when they get the full New York experience inside their own homes.
“I can think of no restaurant that better exemplifies the season of spring than Eleven Madison Park. We are honoured to have this unique opportunity to work with Chef Humm and his incredibly talented team. We have always admired Eleven Madison Park and are grateful for their support and constant inspiration. Our purpose with this collaboration is to continue to offer unique and thoughtful experiences to our guests by acting as a 3000-mile-long conduit, bringing this influential and iconic restaurant to Los Angeles,” said Kahn.

For its part, Eleven Madison Park is no stranger to takeout either. The restaurant offers New Yorkers a multi-course take-home kit of some of its greatest hits. With every set purchased, the restaurant donates ten meals through Eleven Madison Park partner charities.
“We are so excited to collaborate with Chef Kahn and the team at Vespertine to share some of our favourite recipes from over the years with the West Coast. We’ve loved how they have created beautiful and unique experiences to bring their cuisine, hospitality, and style to guests at home and can’t wait to be a part of that,” added Humm.
The menu itself is filled with classic Eleven Madison Park favourites like their black-and-white cookies, and diners can also expect the Green Circle chicken with stuffed black truffle, beets with ricotta and strawberry, rhubarb tart with cheesecake custard, and granola with oats, cocoa nib, hazelnut, and coconut. Add-ons include treats like Alaskan halibut and specialty Eleven Madison Park cocktails like the English milk punch.
The menu will run for a month from 23 April, and will likely sell out quickly. Bookings can be made through the delivery service Tock and meals start at $115 per person with a minimum of two people. Delivery is an extra $40.
It’s pretty rare and very special to ever dine at a two or three-star Michelin restaurant, but the idea of a combined five-star meal is probably one that shouldn’t be overlooked. Go order, go eat, thank the meal gods later.
