It 's been a year since the Italian master chef Enrico Crippa received his third Michelin star for his restaurant Piazza Duomo in Alba, Italy: a moment that, today, the chef recalls with a mixture of disbelief and awareness.
"Incredible," said the chef in this exclusive video interview: "We did not expect to receive it so soon." It's been a very positive year for the chef from Piedmont: his restaurant placed 41st on The World's 50 Restaurants. In recent months, he also received other honors in restaurant guides, such as the Gambero Rosso and L'Espresso.
What has led to such great results? An important gastronomic tradition, local ingredients and creativity, things that allowed him to create recipes of great impact, famous salads one might consider paintings.
With thanks to Bob Noto for the picture of the dish.
