The seductive flavors of Tuscany have arrived in London via Harrods. The luxury department store has kicked off its latest series of pop-up dinners with famed chef Annie Féolde from Florentine restaurant Enoteca Pinchiorri.
Féolde, the only female chef in Italy to have been awarded three Michelin stars, will take up a one-month residency at Harrods' pop-up restaurant Stelle di Stelle, which is hosting visiting chefs with a total of 13 Michelin stars between them.
During the first of the monthlong dinners, Féolde - together with Italo Bassi and Riccardo Monco (in the picture above) - presented a menu that celebrates the flavors of her beloved Italy:
Chestnut mousse, pancetta, pine nuts and rosemary, Octopus cooked in olive oil with pumpkin cream, coffee pearls and watercress sprouts, Poached egg with Alba white truffle and Grana Padano cheese fondue, Fusilli al ferretto with artichokes, scampi and licorice powder, Lamb fillet topped with garlic and thyme, with polenta and black cabbage, Bread, chocolate, oil and salt.
Last night's special dinner set the stage for another extraordinary event: the launch of Acqua Panna's new label. The beloved Italian mineral water - that in 2014 is celebrating its 450th anniversary - is a product of Tuscany, which springs from the Panna source in the Mugello area. Thanks to its origin and quality, the new Acqua Panna label features the Tuscan Taste logo - a seal of excellence normally reserved for Tuscan wines.
Throughout December, Enoteca Pinchiorri’s residency will offer a special edit of its signature dishes with a menu created exclusively for Stelle di Stelle, with one lunch sitting and two dinner sittings each day.
