A Cake Stand and Display by the BMW Creative Lab

If you're a keen baker then you'll know the joy of delivering a cake to friends - there's something great about spending the time to bake for someone else and the gratitude always seems heart felt when cakes are involved.

The one problem can be in transporting cakes - ok there's many solutions but this gadget from, of all people, the BMW Creative Lab sets out a solution for transporting and displaying cakes.

Called the Babette, it was created by the design Michela Voglino. Sat one way the design works as a cake holder but once flipped it doubles up as a cake stand.

It's not commercially available at the moment but here's how it would look in a range of colors.
