The winner of the Asia’s 50 Best Bars is a Hemingway-inspired drinking den in Hong Kong, knocking the last two years’ winner Manhattan, Singapore off top spot into second.
Singapore still boasts the proud distinction of placing four of its watering holes in the top 10, while Tokyo, Taipei, Shanghai and Bangkok make up the remainder of the first ten places to wet your whistle in Asia.
The ceremony to crown the best bars in the region took place today at Capitol Theatre, Singapore, for the second year in a row. The fourth edition of the annual ranking features 12 new entries with The Old Man taking the overall no. 1 position as well as the The Best Bar in China, both prizes are sponsored by Perrier.
The event marks the beginning of a three year partnership between the 50 Best organisation and Singapore Tourism Board which will also see The World's 50 Best Restaurants take place in Singapore for the first time in June 25th.
