Amazon Launches Restaurant Food Delivery Service

Amazon is taking another step into the world of food with a new service that aims to offer a restaurant take out and delivery service.

The company already offers same-day delivery of ingredients in a number of locations and the new service will allow customers to browse through local restaurant menus and order food to their home.

At the moment the option is only being trailed in Seattle with 100 restaurants already signed up to the service.

We already highlighted some interesting trends for 2015 this week, one of them being an increase in same-day food delivery, and we don’t expect Amazon’s restaurant delivery to stay Seattle specific for very long.
