What's the best way of delivering 8,000 bottles of wine to a chef passionate about local and sustainable cuisine? A wind-powered schooner, of course.
You'll see how this incredibly feat was performed in the video below. Watch as the world's only wind-power brigantine delivers 8,083 bottles of organic French wine to Noma, currently ranking first on the World's 50 Best Restaurants list, which is sponsored by S.Pellegrino and Acqua Panna.
The Loire Valley wine was shipped from the town of Brest in Brittany on a 105-foot vessel called Tres Hombres. Once delivered Rene Redzepi fed the crew and helped unload the cargo. Would you expect any less from this stellar chef?
You can read all about the shipment on the restaurant's blog. But now, enjoy the video...all aboard!
