With just over a month left before World's 50 Best Restaurant Awards, sponsored by S.Pellegrino and Acqua Panna, FDL will be taking a look back at some of the chefs and restaurants who have featured both on the 50 best list and here on finedininglovers.com.
We've revisited a number of 50 best winners so far, The Spanish chef Juan Mari Arzak , the Italian chef Davide Scabin, Yoshihiro Narisawa who was awarded the prize for best restaurant in Asia in 2011 and today we revisit Massimo Bottura - the Italian chef, who in 2011 was fourth on the 50 Best Restaurants list and also picked up the Chefs Choice award.
During our trip to Massimo's Osteria Francescana restaurant in Modena, Italy, he took us on a journey to meet some of the local producers who make the ingredients for his restaurant. We were even lucky enough to meet a cherry farmer who has brought an almost extinct flavor back to life.
