The chefs below are some of the most identifiable in world gastronomy, but would you recognise them back in the day?
We've unearthed some cracking archive photos of some of the world's best chefs from eariler on in their careers (in the case of the first image, very early on), many from the Arzak archive.
Some are definitely easier to recognise than others, but we'll give you a clue as to the hirsuite chef in the centre of the top image – he's featured in one of the photos further down too.
It's fascinating to see these chefs back when they were young and extremely hungry, and on the cusp of, or already doing, amazing things to change the course of gastronomy.
What's more, further down is a video of a young Gordon Ramsay, Heston Blumenthal and Sat Bains causing mayhem in Barcelona as part of a pilgrimage to elBulli.
