Madrid Hosts a Festival for the Senses from 21 January to 5 February
The Spanish capital is the place to be for a line-up of top chefs and city wide events stretching over 15 days.
Madrid is ramping up for a gastronomic festival of global proportions, with a series of top culinary events happening across the Spanish capital from 21 January 2017 to 5 February 2017.
Madrid Fusion International Summit 2017
First up is the Madrid Fusion International Summit, returning to the capital for its 15th edition serving as a culinary magnet for 3 days of international speakers from all over the world, as well as over 100 chefs from 15 different countries.
Delivering over 70 cooking demonstrations, workshops, contests, auctions and award galas will be the European Chef of the Year Award winner, Ángel León plus guest chefs including: Andoni Aduriz, Jonnie Boer, Mauro Colagreco, Maria Fernanda Di Giacobbe, Ronny Emborg and Matthew Abbick, Álvaro Garrido, Mauricio Giovanini, David Muñoz, Takayuki Otani, Joan and Josep Roca, Mario Sandoval, Janice Wong, plus many others.
Argentina will be the guest country this year alongside two conferences, dealing with the future of haute cuisine and a series of related topics: from the environment to applied psychology and more.
Gastrofestival 2017: In and around Madrid
If that weren't enough the city's restaurants, shops museums and cultural centres will open their doors to allow visitors to experience all aspects of gastronomy in a "festival of the senses" for 15 days around the city.
Special menus, culinary routes and cookery courses will all tempt diners into restaurants and bars across the city hosting popular events including the Degustatapas tapas tastings, Rioja Wine in Our Favourite Bars and Dining with the Stars, featuring top international figures from some of today's most renowned kitchens.
