Preparation

Are you a butter greedy? Do you want to know how to make the homemade butter to taste it when you want?

Well, start by pouring fresh cream into a food processor or stand mixer. Beat on high for 4-5 minutes until the butter begins to form into clumps.

To do it by hand: pour the cream into a glass container with a sealed closure, shake the container for 30 minutes and the milky part will seaparate from the butter.

Filter the butter through a cheescloth or sieve set over a bowl and eliminate the liquid.

Using your hands, squeeze out the excess liquid while shaping the butter and put it into a mould. Reserve the buttermilk (aka leftover liquid) for future use.

Store the butter in a covered container and keep in the refrigerator. You may add salt to taste.

When you've made your own butter, try to follow the butter sculptures mania!
