If you'd like to sample the cuisine of the world's best chefs in one place all you have to do is head to la Maison Mumm in Madrid. That's where Joan Roca, Massimo Bottura and Andoni Luis Aduriz are cooking the dishes that made them famous.
Each chef is preparing a special dinner for 26 guests at the annual luxurious pop-up restaurant hosted by G.H. Mumm at the AC Santo Mauro hotel. The chef's signature dishes are paired with wines selected by sommelier Ferran Centelles of elBulli fame.
Roca, chef at the world's number one restaurant El Celler de Can Roca, already seduced diners earlier this week with his signature oysters in Chardonnay and steak tartare with mustard ice cream.
Italy's chef Bottura from Osteria Francescana restaurant, which ranks third in the world, prepared dishes inspired by different Italian regions like ravioli with truffles, Adriatic eel and deconstructed lemon tart.
The final dinner will be prepared tonight by Spanish chef Aduriz of Murgaritz, which ranks fourth in the world. His menu will include edible ‘rocks’ (potatoes), foie gras scaloppini and smoked Iberian pig tails.
At 250 euros a head (about $366), the pop-up dinners promise to be the haute cuisine event of the year. For reservations for tonight's final dinner, call + (34) 915 343 090.
The chefs rank in the top five of the World's 50 Best Restaurants list sponsored by S.Pellegrino and Acqua Panna.
