The Michelin Guide to Singapore 2018 has been released, with five new one star restaurants joining the Guide this year.
The five are Burnt Ends, Jiang-Nun Chun, Ma Cuisine, Nouri and Sushi Kimura, taking the total of one-Michelin-star restaurants in Singapore to 34, four up on last year.
In other news, hawker stalls Hill Street Tai Hwa Pork Noodle and Liao Fan Hong Kong Soy Sauce Chicken Rice and Noodle retained their one star statuses, with another 28 hawker stalls named amongst the 50 Bib Gourmand recommendations, which are awarded for high quality, yet inexpensive food.
However, Singapore has lost two, two-Michelin-star restaurants this year with the shuttering of André and L'Atelier de Joël Robuchon – other than which the two star list remains the same – as well as its only three star, Joël Robuchon Restaurant, which has also closed.
