Porco Mundi América Latina
Poco Mundi América Latina, supported by S. Pellegrino and Acqua Panna, returns after a three-year hiatus, with São Paolo’s A Casa do Porco welcoming chefs from across Latin America to prepare a unique dinner and celebrate the continent’s diverse cuisine.
Chefs Janaína Torres Rueda and Jefferson Rueda have invited 19 chefs from seven Latin American countries - Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Mexico and Peru - for a dinner on 11 October, at A Casa do Porco, #7 on the World’s 50 Best Restaurants list, with limited tickets available to the public.
Each of the 19 chefs will be responsible for a menu recipe — consisting of 10 finger food starters, six main courses and three desserts — and they will show a little about the culture of how pork is prepared in their countries.
Porco Mundi is a project created in 2016 and is an exchange between chefs from all over the world. Pork is the star of the event, with the purpose of showing different ways of consuming the ingredient, and discovering other countries’ cultures through their gastronomy.
