Pierre Koffmann Teaches Classic French Bistro Cooking in New BBC Video Series

Learn how to master the fundamentals of French cuisine from the maestro himself, Pierre Koffmann, in the BBC's new 24-part online recipe series on classic French bistro cooking.

The French chef and restaurateur - best known for his work in the United Kingdom and his London restaurant, Koffmann’s - will be sharing over 50 years of experience with his students in easy-to-follow steps, deconstructing the popular classics for a satisfying cook-along at home.

Koffmann will draw on his vast knowledge of French cuisine, learned from his grandmother and at French farmhouse tables, as well as in Parisian bistros and three-Michelin-star restaurants. In addition to the basics, such as tasty stocks and French sauces, there will be authentic French bistro dishes like coq au vin and duck confit, and the chef will even offer some of his grandmother's recipes for good measure.
