S.Pellegrino Young Chefs Paul Prinsloo and Jerome Ianmark Calayag will combine their talents for two unique four-hands dinners at Gåte Restaurant, Stellenbosch, in collaboration with S.Pellegrino and Aqua Panna, on 22 and 23 July.
South African chef Prinsloo, from Gåte Restaurant, will team up with Swedish chef Calayag, from Portal Restaurant in Stockholm. Respectively, they were a finalist and the winner of S.Pellegrino Young Chef Academy 2019-21, and they will showcase their talents in two 10-course meals at the fine-dining restaurant in the heart of South Africa's wine country.
During the international competition to find the best young chef in the world, Prinsloo impressed an international panel of chef judges with his take on bouillabaisse 2.0; while Calayag's winning vegetarian dish of 'humble vegetables' wowed the judging panel with his unforgettable punchy flavours.
The sparks are sure to fly when these two get the chance to meet again and join creative forces in the kitchen.
