A diamond company in Asia is offering the world’s most expensive dining experience costing a whopping, wait for it, $2,000,000.
We see some pretty opulent offerings at Fine Dining Lovers HQ but this dining experience pushes the limits of almost everything.
Created by the World of Diamonds Group and CÉ LA VI Singapore - the dining 18-course dining experience also includes a helicopter ride, cruise and lots of sparkly diamonds.
So what does $2,000,000 actually buy you? First of all, the retreat will last just 8-hours - that’s $250,000 an hour. It will take place in Singapore and begin with 45 minute helicopter ride to take in the views of the surrounding area.
Two lucky guests will then be chauffeured in a Rolls Royce before stepping on board for luxurious private cruise. This is all to set the tone and build up an appetite for the actual dinner which takes place on top of the iconic Marina Bay Sands Hotel.
The menu will include ingredients such as:
Fresh Belon Oyster with Champagne foam
Almas Caviar
Jamón Ibérico
Gewürztraminer-Poached Foie Gras
Veal Liver
Lamb Sweetbread
Bresse Poulet Consommé
Striped Seabass
Air-Flown Alaska Wild Salmon
Verjus Sorbet
Slow Cooked Pigeon
Glenvale Pork Loin
Apple-Wood Grilled Mishima Sirloin
Drinks will be equally extravagant with wines including:
1988 Salon ‘S’ champagne
2008 Domaine Leflaive Chevalier-Montrachet Grand Cru
1996 Domaine de la Romanee- Conti, Romanee-Saint-Vivant Grand Cru,
1961 Chateau Haut-Brion and
1972 Oremus Tokaji Aszú 5 Puttonyos
Any discerning readers will realise that this still doesn’t come close to the $2 million price mark - which is why guests will have more gifts than Gwyneth at the Oscars. That’s because the lucky duo taking part in the dinner will also be given some diamond-studded chopsticks (engraved with their names) and one of the pair will receive The Jane Seymour 2.08 carat blue diamond ring - we sense a pretty impressive wedding proposal coming on.
