The month has been a busy one and with only hours left until the dust settles, opinions emerge and the World's 50 Best Restaurants list is decided - we decided to take a look back at some of the biggest stories this month from the 2011 winners list.
We had the Italian chef, Davide Scabin, developing space food and taking a trip down under for a food festival. Massimo Bottura and one chef who opened his restaurant to a cooking battle. Rene Redzepi was listed on the cover of Time magazine and subsequently their 100 Most Influential people list - Ferran Adria, a previous 50 Best Lifetime achievement winner, gave some words on one of his former kitchen members.
Elena Arzak took the Veuve Cliquot World's Best Female Chef title and said she was shocked but proud and the American great, Thomas Keller, took home the well deserved and hard earned 2012 World's 50 Best Restaurants Lifetime Achievement Award.
Jordi Roca, the youngest of the Roca Brothers, told the world of his plans to open an ice cream shop in Girona. And his big brother Joan received a Grand Prix de l'Art de la Cuisine for his sublime contribution to gastronomy.
