SEE THE 2018 MICHELIN GUIDE FOR THE NORDIC COUNTRIES.
The Michelin Guide to the Nordic countries 2017 has been released with the big news that Iceland has its first Michelin star, while Denmark and Sweden both have a new two star restaurant each.
Dill, in Iceland's capital Reykjavík gains one star with its five and seven course tasting menu of typically Nordic fare, while Denmark's Henne Kirkeby Kro, helmed by chef Paul Cunningham, and Malmö's Vollmers both gain second stars. Koks on the Faroe Islands also gained a Michelin star, the first for a Faroese restaurant.
Both Norway's Maaemo and Denmark's Geranium retained their three star rankings, while Magnus Nilsson's Fäviken in Northern Sweden retained its two stars. Two star Noma in Copenhagen drops off the list, as it's currently closed.
