The Michelin Guide to Great Britain and Ireland 2019 has been released, with the big news that a trio of two-Michelin-star restaurants have been added to the region's already impressive roster of Michelin-starred restaurants.
The new two stars are Clare Smyth's Core (see the dishes) in London, which goes straight into the Guide, having been too new last year, Kitchen Table, also in London, and Moor Hall in Aughton, Lancashire, which won its first star last year.
There are also 21 new one star restaurants, of which, six are in London, while Ireland has a strong showing with three new one star restaurants. Chef Simon Rogan of two star L'Enclume will be pleased with stars for Roganic and Rogan & Co.
There are no new three stars this year, and that there are no new stars for Northern Ireland, Scotland or Wales, and still no star for Manchester are sure to be talking points.
