Food Beast have a nice interview with Josh Tetrick the founder of Hampton Creek Foods - the company behind the world's first vegan egg.
Tetrick managed to secure funding from some big backers when he started the company including Bill Gates and this interview he discusses what it was like to set up his egg alternative business and what motivated him to do it.
He doesn't discuss the actual product so much, more the aim and mission of the company to disrupt the egg market and cut the amount of chickens living out their lives in ting baskets to feed to world's ravenous hunger for eggs.
It's an interesting look at a company that truly believe they will change a huge section of the food industry through innovation.
