Three-Michelin-star chef and Maserati ambassador Massimo Bottura presents a collaboration with the Modena-based luxury carmaker – a Levante Trofeo Fuoriserie Edition for Massimo Bottura, with an explosively creative colour-splash paint job.
Bottura, who is well known for reinterpreting Emilian tradition in a modern and creative way, has been a Maserati Trident ambassador since 2005, and this custom Levante Trofeo with 580 horsepower V8 engine and Fuoriserie Edition’s Blu Stradale exterior, painted with multi-coloured splashes, is a perfect expression of the ethos of both the chef and the world-renowned automaker.
The chef has been a lifelong fan of high-performance Italian racing cars, since driving vintage models off-road as a youngster with his brothers. These cars would always be splashed with mud after their off-road adventures and it was these markings that inspired Bottura’s vision for this new collaboration.
This special Levante Trofeo belongs to the Maserati Fuoriserie customisation programme, with its various options allowing for special creativity in a meeting of design, engineering art and fashion, with the manufacturer describing the series as “a garment, to be worn proudly on the world’s roads in a gesture of self-expression, and as a symbol of the concept of contemporary luxury”.
“Massimo has shown true genius in expressing a modern or even futuristic vision of this tradition in every flavour, without ever betraying its origins,” said Reid Bigland, Maserati CEO, on the company’s website. “All this is very close to the Maserati tradition of designing, developing and building cars here in Italy that can excite and delight their drivers all over the world.”
