British celebrity chef Jamie Oliver has announced plans to open a restaurant of 'epic' proportions in Sweden.
"I'm really looking forward to kicking off our first restaurant in Stockholm," the chef said in a statement. "It's going to be epic."
Oliver's Jamie's Italian restaurant will be located in the lobby of the Scandic Anglais hotel in the Stureplan area of Stockholm. The 200-seater dining spot will focus on rustic dishes made with local and organic foods. It is scheduled to open in the fall.
The Stockholm restaurant is part of the chef's massive expansion plans across the globe. So far, Jamie's Italian has locations in England, Ireland, Scotland, Australia, Russia, Turkey, Dubai, and Singapore. Oliver is rumored to be opening a location in the United States but those plans have yet to be confirmed.
