Do you have fun memories of bike riding and eating ice cream when you were a kid? Well, those pleasures aren't just for children. Just ask Edward Belden, the man who invented the bicycle that churns ice cream.
Merging two lifelong passions, Belden opened a unique ice cream shop in downtown Los Angeles called Peddler's Creamery. Every batch of ice cream is churned on a bicycle, a process that takes about five minutes a gallon, according to The Atlantic.
Peddler's Creamery serves organic dairy and non-dairy ice cream in flavors like Mexican chocolate, cinnamon and snickerdoodle. Sorbets come in exciting flavors like chile mango, fig ginger and strawberry basil.
Swing by the shop and, if you are lucky, you may get a change to jump on a bike and churn ice cream yourself. Pretty cool!
