Chef Grant Achatz, who runs the Alinea and Next restaurants in Chicago, has been picked as the Honorary President of the jury for the Bocuse d’Or 2015.
Achatz will work along side the 24 judges on the Bocuse d’Or panel helping to set standards for critiquing dishes on everything from taste to presentation and sourcing of ingredients.
Achatz was on the jury for the Bocuse d’Pr United States in 2012 but this will be the first time he’s been invited a Honorary President.
Achatz will join Thibaut Ruggeru, the 2013 winner, who will act as the president of the international jury and of course Mr Paul Bocuse himself who will preside over the entire event.
Bocuse d’Or 2015 starts January 27th - you can see a full line up of countries taking part here.
