Ferran Adria is to sell off more than 10,000 bottles of wine from the wine cellar of the legendary elBulli restaurant in Spain.
As reported over on Wine Searcher, the sale will be handled by Sotheby's auction house and will include around 1,600 different varieties of wine.
With a chef like Ferran, famous for surprising guests with his provocative food, it seems the wine in his cellar was just as eclectic as the elBulli tasting menu.
The bottles range from the $26,00 2008 Enate 234 Chardonnay to a $6,000 1999 Domaine de la Romanée-Conti’s Romanée Conti.
It's hard to predict what the collection could be worth - or if the fact that it was once housed in the world famous elBulli wine cellar will add any value. Sotherby's are currently being tight lipped about when the auction will take place, so for now, here's the full wine list via Eater.
