After the phenomenal success of The Chef Show, which aired in June this year, Netflix has wasted no time in keeping the ball rolling and is already dropping the trailer for season two.
Roy Choi and Jon Favreau return for another season of cooking with friends while shooting the breeze over whatever. The trailer for the second series offers us a glimpse of Seth Rogen pitching in to help Choi and Favreau make pork sauce. “Is there pork in there or is it sauce for pork? This is a confusing recipe guys, no one’s going to be able to cook this,” asks Rogen.
While season one wheeled out some A-list celebrities including Robert Downey Jr. Kevin Feige, Bill Burr and Gwyneth Paltrow, Netflix is a little more coy about announcing the guests this time around.
However Entertainment Weekly has announced a guest roster that includes Seth Rogen, Daniel Uditi of Pizzana, Wes Avila of Guerrilla Tacos, chef-restaurateur David Chang, as well as Andrew Rea of Binging with Babish fame.
Favreau drafts in Star Wars colleague Dave Filoni in one episode which was filmed at George Lucas’ Skywalker Ranch. Filioni directed The Mandalorian, a new Star Wars spin-off series, which streams on Disney+ from November.
