A new restaurant in London, England, claims to be the first restaurant in the world to offer a cheese conveyor belt.
Called Pick & Cheese, it’s the idea of The Cheese Bar - a group of dedicated dairy masters who have been delivering wonderful British cheese in London at their Camden Market bar and through their traveling cheese trucks.
Pick & Cheese offers over 25 different varieties of cheese, each one is paired with condiments and wines and guests are encouraged to grab whatever catches their attention from the belt.
There’s some unique pairings: Clothbound cheddar with tomato relish, Red Leicester with candied chilies and a Cornish gouda paired with hazelnut praline. The menu also shows a number of "off-belt" items such as their famous grilled cheese sandwich.
The team behind the restaurant, who also operate The Cheese Truck and The Cheese Bar in Camden Stables Market, said they want to "shake up the traditional cheese and wine bar format, and encourage people to get out of their comfort zone and try something new!"
Pick & Cheese is open seven-days a week at Seven Dials Market.
