If staying in is the new going out, what better way to enjoy a Friday night than with a slice of culinary entertainment in the very capable hands of chef Grant Achatz and Nick Kokonas, owners of Chicago's Alinea.
The cutting edge duo from the pioneering three-Michelin-starred restaurant will be going live on Twitch on 5 February at 12:30 PM CST. They will be presenting an unadulterated hour-long cook along, doing what they call "real cooking that everyone will want to try," with a plan to create a full meal for four people in a little over 60 minutes.
This Friday will serve as a dry test run on the live-streaming platform, and Kokonas has already been bouncing around ideas with the Twitter community to find out what delicious food people would really love to see Achatz cooking in the ongoing series.
So far roast chicken, pasta from scratch, carbonara and frying 'stuff' properly are just a few of the ideas that have been given the nod. If you want to have your say, join Kokonas' Twitter discussion.
For those who don't catch the live stream, you should to be able to catch up with a video posted on their YouTube channel later.
Also, if you want to make 14 February a date to remember this year, check out Alinea's five-course Valentine's day dinner, available for delivery throughout the US - but be quick, it may soon sell out.
