Pink lemonade is one of the trends of the summer. It's a refreshing drink on a hot summer day, with a touch of elegance thanks to its delicate colour. Preparing pink lemonade at home is very simple, and with just a few ingredients you'll make a fresh, delicious and non-alcoholic drink suitable for everyone. Here are the ingredients and method for pink lemonade.

Step 01

Pink lemonade blend raspberries

To prepare the pink lemonade, start by blending the raspberries. Put them in the blender after washing, and blend until you get a homogeneous mixture.

Step 02

Filter the raspberries after blending and put the mixture in a bottle. Squeeze the lemons and filter the juice for seeds to avoid them ending up in the pink lemonade. Put the lemon juice together with the raspberries.

Transfer the pink lemonade to the refrigerator until serving time. Serve the pink lemonade with a few mint leaves, to taste, with some ice cubes.

Sparkling pink lemonade

For an even more thirst-quenching pink lemonade, you can replace natural water with sparkling water. In this way you will get a non-alcoholic drink that is also perfect for an aperitif.

Alcoholic pink lemonade

Pink lemonade can also become a fabulous cocktail with fresh and summery notes. How? Simply add 100ml of vodka for every litre of water. It's also great with the same amount of gin.

Pink lemonade: how to substitute the sugar

If you prefer a 'lighter' version of pink lemonade, you can prepare it without sugar. To give a greater hint of sweetness, you can add the juice of one orange or a scant teaspoon of stevia.

How to keep pink lemonade

Keep the pink lemonade in the refrigerator for 2-3 days. This recipe is also perfect for creating delicious homemade popsicles. Just put the pink lemonade in the moulds and let them rest in the freezer for 4-6 hours.

Alternatives to pink lemonade

On really hot days there's nothing better than a lemonade with ginger and lavender, but if you want a very special and thirst-quenching drink, try the version with strawberries and basil.
