World’s Best Chefs to Discuss Social Gastronomy

Massimo Bottura will host a symposium on food as a social movement in Modena on 24 July, to coincide with the Basque Culinary Prize announcement.

Chefs, artists, writers, filmmakers and scientists are all set to converge in Modena, Italy on 24 July as Massimo Bottura hosts "social gastronomy" on 24 July, the same day that the Basque Culinary World Prize 2018 will be awarded.

The symposium, organised along with the Basque Culinary Center and the Basque Government, has been designed to allow the "sharing of the power of ideas, the strength of culture, the impact of science, the influence of art, and the new ways of connecting people through gastronomy."

Guests will be able to join some of the world's most influential chefs like Michael Bras (France), Joan Roca (Spain), Andoni Luis Aduriz (Spain), Gastón Acurio (Peru), Dominique Crenn (USA), and Yoshihiro Narisawa (Japan) who will also have input into how gastronomy has become part of a social movement.
