Napa Valley Truffle Festival 2018: See What's On

If you fancy a four day forray into the wonderful world of truffles, head to Napa Valley for your fix of this fragrant black jewel early next year.

From 12 to 15 January chefs, food fans, truffle hunting dogs and sommeliers will gather for the 8th such festival celebrating the black truffle, the crowning glory of a region with a massive gastronomic reputation.

This year's highlights include:

Truffle Hunting
Visit Sinskey Vineyards Truffle Orchard with the experts and find out what goes into managing the first scientific truffle orchard planted in the Napa Valley.

Michelin Starred Chefs
Ken Frank from La Toque is the host chef and will be joined by Cristina Bowerman from Glass Hosteria in Rome, Gabriel Kreuther, Gabriel Kreuther New York, NY and Ryan McCaskey, Acadia, Chicago will all prepare a truffles and wine dinner at La Toque.

Wild Mushroom Foray
A walk with the mushroom experts in the Napa valley woods to unearth some delicious funghi.

Take Home Truffle
And of course, if you want to leave with a souvenir you can always pick up your own fresh black Périgord truffles at the truffle marketplace.
