All purpose flour
270 g all purpose + 80 whole
125 ml, warm
Yeast
25 g, dry
Sugar
15 g, whole
Salt
1 pinch
Turmeric
Agave nectar
Poppy seeds

Preparation

Put the flours, yeast, sugar and salt in a bowl and mix with a whisk.

Pour the warm water and knead until a thick and elastic dough.

Divide the dough in four balls, cover them with a cotton cloth and lest rest for about 1 hour.

Coat a finger in flour, and gently press your finger into the center of each dough ball to form a ring.

Preheat your oven to 200°C.

In a little bowl melt a little agave syrup with powdered turmeric and set aside.

Bring a large pot of water to a boil.

Use a slotted spoon or skimmer to lower the bagels into the water.

Boils the bagels 40 seconds on each part then transfer them to a lightly oiled baking sheet.

Brush each bagel with agave syrup and sprinkle a little of poppy seeds.

Bake for 30 minutes until golden brown then cool them on a wire rack.
