Grilled Pineapple Skewers

Pineapple

Butter
60 ml
Honey
60 ml
Lemon juice
15 ml
Cinnamon
1 pinch, ground
Cloves
1 pinch, ground
Dark rum
80 ml
Preparation
- Cut off the ends of the pineapple and peel the pineapple.
- To do this, stand the pineapple on its end and cut off the peel in strips from top to bottom with a sharp knife.
- Then cut the pineapple into quarters lengthways, remove the hard core and cut the remaining fruit lengthways into slices/wedges.
- Thread on wooden skewers.
- Melt the butter and stir in the sugar, lemon juice and spices.
- Grill the pineapple skewers, brushing with the butter mixture and turning frequently, until evenly browned.
- Take off the grill, put into a shallow dish and pour the warmed rum over the pineapple skewers.
- Flambe and serve.
