If you'll be in the Big Apple this October don't miss a chance to attend the 9th annual New York City Food & Film Festival. Taking place from October 22-25, the event is famous for being the only film festival in the entire world where visitors can eat the food they see on the screen...while sitting in their theater chairs.
This year the New York City Food & Film Festival will be hosted at the AMC Empire 25 theater right on Times Square. It will kick off with an ode to barbecue titled Tender: Stories of Love and Meat which will give visitors a taste of different barbecue styles from Maine to Texas.
One of the festival's new additions is the first-ever Eat Your Movies! A Family Event, which caters to the whole family and will feature a puppet musical about Milano cookies and Baby Got Kale, a family-friendly parody of Sir Mix-A-Lot's Baby Got Back.
Other highlights include The Food Porn Party, which organizers describe as a blend of "extreme eats, close-ups and food burlesque."
Featured films include Central TX BBQ, Choco Thriller, Course of Food, Cocolo Ramen and Growing Local: Pig Not Pork. Get the full list of films here.
