You may remember we reported on an interesting new product earlier in the year, the world's first clear coffee. It was created for serious coffee lovers who want to avoid dental staining and contains, the makers claim, nothing but arabica beans and water.
Reviews were mixed at the time and now the guys over at Buzzfeed have got their staff involved for a proper taste test. You can see how reluctant some of them are to try it in the video below: naturally some are suspicious as to exactly what the drink contains, although there are apparently no artificial colours or preservatives.
And the verdict? Not great. Coffee-flavoured water and the dregs of the coffee pot seem to be the overriding impressions, though one staff member seems more enthused than the others. It's pretty much what you expect from looking at the product – it would be quite a feat if the makers had managed to get serious coffee flavour into the drink.
