A few months back we highlighted a wonderful series of videos by The Art of Plating which focus in on particular chefs and their unique plating methods.
We’d now like to highlight another of their videos that looks at the works of chef Niki Nakayama who owns and runs the kitchen at the n/naka Kaiseki restaurant in LA.
In the video the chef takes people through some of the dishes in her 13-course modern Kaiseki tasting menu, a menu that shows off different cooking techniques with some truly beautiful presentation.
As you watch the chef slowly plating her creations she narrates and explains exactly what goes into her unique take on Kaiseki cuisine.
