Flax Seed Egg Replacer
Eggs are phenomenal in baking but sometimes you want an animal-free way to make your cakes, cookies and other treats. Did you know flax seeds are a wonderful vegan substitute for eggs?
Flax seeds are one of the best seeds you should be eating. They contain omega-3 fatty acids, fiber and protein. So you'll be adding a healthy kick to your recipes.
To make an egg replacer you'll need to mix ground flax seeds (also known as flax meal) with water. Allow the mixture to stand for a few minutes then...voila! You've got yourself a gel-like substance you can use in your favorite recipes.
