Have you ever dreamt of escaping to Tuscany and learning how to cook Italian food? Somewhere along the Tuscan hills, halfway between Florence and Siena, you'll find a bit of paradise where that dream can become a reality.
Organic Tuscany is a cooking school in the heart of this beloved Italian region where the Renaissance flourished. When you sign up for a gourmet cooking class, you'll be in the hands of a local chef who will not only teach you the secrets to cooking delectable Tuscan specialties but also some of Italy's most famous dishes.
Lessons are held in a historic farmhouse located in the charming town of Certaldo - just 40 minutes away from the picturesque San Gimigiano (another great destination for foodies).
The classes are small, about nine people to a group, which allows for everyone to try their hand at making fresh pastas or stirring creamy risottos. Vegetarians will enjoy the many meat-free recipes that naturally form part of the Tuscan diet. Each homemade meal is paired with local organic and biodynamic wines produced in vineyards the students will visit as part of their culinary tour.
