Novel dining destinations show no sign of abating with ever hungry diners seeking more culinary thrills. We've already covered dining in the sky, atop a rock, with the fishes, up trees and even on the side of a cliff.
For our next culinary departure we're taking a more sedate journey in a restored 1960s railway carriage pulling out of Amsterdam's main railway station. All aboard?
Named the Panorama Rail Restaurant, this is a restaurant on rails that has been specially decked out to welcome discerning diners, with a menu to match.
The tailor made four course menu comes courtesy of Dutch chef Edwin Soumang from Michelin starred Restaurant ONE!. A peek at the dishes includes salmon tartare cocktail, pork belly, veal cheek and loin and One's lemon curd cookie crumble.
From the welcome drink easing expectant travellers into their dining chairs to the chef designed dishes, the three hour journey through the Dutch countryside arriving into Haarlem should be sufficient to rejuvinate the weariest of travellers.
While dining on a train is no novel concept, the promise of good food coupled with some star gazing offered by the glass domed dining carriage sounds like a relaxing journey well worth making,
