The 22 Most Anticipated Summer Restaurant Openings Across The U.S.

The team Zagat has released a list of the 22 most-anticipated restaurant openings this summer and it looks like great things are coming to nine cities in the United States.

The new restaurants are from some of the most talented chefs in the nation and feature everything from burgers and fried chicken to Michelin-quality meals. The cities that made the list are: New York City, Los Angeles, Austin, Boston, Philadelphia, Washington, DC, Dallas, Chicago and San Francisco.

In New York, some of the highlights of the soon-to-be-opening restaurants include Jean-Georges Vongerichten's new vegetarian restaurant and L'Atelier du Joel Robuchon, both set to open in Manhattan.

Other East Coast restaurants to be on the lookout for are  Joe Cicala's pizzeria/enoteca/birreria Brigantessa in Philadelphia, America Eats Tavern by José Andrés in Washington, DC, and Legal Oysteria in Boston.

Los Angelinos are awaiting the opening of Petit Trois, a restaurant from the same chefs behind the acclaimed Trois Mec: Ludo Lefebvre,  Jon Shook and Vinny Dotolo. Up in San Francisco, diners are looking forward to the opening of Christopher Kronner's Kronner Burger.

Meanwhile, in Chicago all eyes are on Tony Mantuano's River Roast while Texas gears up for St. Philip in Austin and John Tesar's Knife in Dallas.
