Where did the job ad go? The Queen of Pop was reportedly looking for a private chef at her London Mayfair home, offering up to a £110,000 salary - until a few hours later the advertisement mysteriously vanished from the website.
The website Talent Private Staff had posted a private chef advert that referred to a "VVIP" client with a home in Mayfair, London. After speculation that this "VVIP" was the pop queen Madonna, FDL HQ contacted Talent to verify, to no avail. Did the superstar get cold feet? We are yet to discover the details of what caused the advert to be pulled down and the agency posting the job refused to give details on what happened.
In the meantime, the original job post has already been making its rounds on the web.
The “client” sought a "top chef with private chef and super yacht experience" and favoured “Italian food (risotto is a favourite), Asian- Sushi/Sashimi, classic European and American dishes.” Madonna has six children, and the chef presumably would have been cooking to cater to their dietary needs, if this really was her, that is.
The job also required the chef to have a knowledge of kosher foods, and that, although the "client" did not have a kosher kitchen setup, the chef was to be "familiar with all the basic rules (no dairy and meat served together, no pork, fish must have fins and scales- no swordfish, shellfish etc.).”
The London-based position called for the top chef to be willing to travel, especially to Lisbon and the US. Coincidentally, Madonna has been splitting her time between London and Lisbon, Portugal, to support her son David, 13, who joined the Benefica youth football academy in 2017.
We've heard of private chefs' experiences working with A-List celebrities before. It certainly isn’t like any old chef gig, if we take the words of the private chefs of the late Prince or Gangnam Style’s Psy.
At least this special client hasn’t asked for a job application that entails an online viral cooking-music video, Gangnam Style. We'll keep you updated as further details unveil, stay tuned.
